Vijayakanth, the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly today behaved in a unruly manner disrupting the assembly proceedings. He spoke angrily raising his finger and biting his tongue in an abusive gesture even as his party MLAs resorted to pandemonium in the house.
Immediately, Speaker D Jayakumar ordered the house marshals to evict the DMDK members from the house. Following this DMDK members were evicted from the house. The Speaker also referred the matter to the Privileges Committee for review.
Criticising the DMDK for its unruly behaviour, Chief Minister Jayalalithaa said she felt bad about having formed an alliance with such a party in the last assembly elections.
