Expressing grief over his death the chief minister sanctioned 1 lakh rupees to the bereaved family members from the Chief Minister's public Relief fund.

In another obituary statement Ms Jayalalithaa condoled the death of Pazhaniammal of Coimbatore district who was trampled by a wild elephant on the 4th of April. 

The chief minister announced a cash solatium of 3 lakh rupees from the forest department.
