Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today announced an assistance of  two lakh rupees to his family.

The landing of cop M Pandian, who attempted a somersault over human hurdles, went awry, as his neck hit the ground and he collapsed.

He was taken to Government Headquarters hospital, where he died despite the best of treatment.

Ms Jayalalithaa expressed shock over the tragic death of Pandian and announced an assistance of  two lakh rupees to his family.
She also expressed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
