The meeting discussed in detail the issues relating to the Home Department to be included in the State budget.

The Chief Minister normally chairs review meetings of various governmental departments regarding presentation of the state budget and demand for grants before the budget session, a press release by the Tamil Nadu government said today.

As part of this initiative, Ms Jayalalithaa today chaired the review meeting of Home Department before the budget session for the year 2012-2013.

The Chief Minister will chair review meetings of the various other departments before the start of the Budget session, the release added.
