The Chief Minister said her Government would take all steps to ensure that justice was rendered.
Reading out a detailed report on the issue in the state assembly, Ms Jayalalithaa noted that she had already announced a solatium of five lakh rupees to the victim's family. Reiterating that her Government always accorded top priority to protecting the interests of fishermen, Ms Jayalalithaa assured that all necessary steps would be taken  to ensure that the victim's family got justice.
