For this purpose it has set aside a sum of 3 crore and 20 lakh rupees.

She said children aged two to five years, coming to these  centres for nutritious food, would be given two pairs of colour dresses each year from this year.

Ms Jayalalithaa said under the Puratchi Thalaivar MGR Nutritious noon Meal Scheme, students who were hitherto given two sets of uniforms, would get four sets from this year.
She also announced that 54,000 tailoring machines, at a cost of 54 crore rupees,would be provided to Women Tailoring Co-operative Societies.
