Ms Jayalalithaa in her obituary message condoled the deaths of R Sampath, a special sub inspector of police of B4 high court police station in greater Chennai who succumbed to a cardiac arrest on the 20th of May and SI Sampathkumar of Muthupettai police station who died in a road accident.She announced a cash solatium of 2 lakh rupees each to the bereaved families.

Ms Jayalalithaa also condoled the deaths of Nanjan of Coimbatore district and Ketan of Nilgiris who were trampled by wild elephants. She ordered cash solatium of 3 lakh rupees each to the families of the deceased from the forest department funds.
The Chief Minister also expressed grief over the death of Anandhavalli who died in an accident. She announced a cash solatium one lakh rupees to her family and 25 thousand rupees to one Balaji who was injured in the same accident for his medical expenses.
