In her obituary message, Ms Jayalalithaa expressed grief over the death of M Durairaj, a special Sub Inspector in Vallam Police Station in Tanjavur district who died in a road accident on the seventh of this month.

The Chief Minister conveyed her deep condolences to the bereaved family members of Durairaj who died in harness and ordered a solatium of two lakh rupees to them from the Chief Minister's Public relief fund.

In a fire accident, Natarajan, son of Muthaiah of Saraswathipalayam in Virudunagar district sustained serious injuries  and was admitted to a private hospital on the seventh of this month. Natarajan succumbed to his injuries despite the best of treatment.
Ms Jayalalithaa ordered a solatium of one lakh rupees to his family from the Chief Minister's Public relief fund.
